Shenzhen New Century Basketball Club has announced the completion of signings for their foreign player roster, further strengthening their lineup. Following the rules set by the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), which allow for a maximum of four foreign players to be registered simultaneously, the club has successfully registered Trevor Thompson and Markell Johnson. Thompson will proudly don the number 32 jersey, while Johnson will display his skills wearing the number 0 jersey. Together, they will embark on a journey representing Shenzhen Marco Polo Men's Basketball team in the CBA Club Cup and the CBA League. As the club continues to evolve and find its synergy, adjustments to the foreign player roster will be made as required.

Let's meet these talented additions to the Shenzhen squad. Markell Johnson, born on August 25th, 1998, hailing from the United States, stands at 186cm tall and weighs 80kg. As a guard, he has showcased his skills in various leagues such as the Turkish League, Lithuanian League, and the VTB League. Trevor Thompson, born on June 12th, 1994, also from the United States, towers at a height of 213cm and weighs 113kg. With his powerful presence as a center, he has left his mark in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors, as well as in leagues such as the Italian Serie A, Greek Basketball League, and the Turkish League.

Joining them is Askia Toussaint Booker, known as Askia Booker, born on August 31st, 1993, from the United States. Standing at 186cm tall and weighing 82kg, he commands the court as a guard, wearing the number 31 jersey this season. Familiar to the Shenzhen faithful, he has already spent the last three seasons showcasing his skills for Shenzhen Marco Polo Men's Basketball team.

Completing the foreign player roster is Deng Acuoth, born on October 2nd, 1996, carrying the nationality of Australia. Standing tall at 210cm and weighing 105kg, his dominant presence as a center has earned him the title of the NBL1 League's Best Defensive Player. Representing South Sudan in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup, he will proudly wear the number 99 jersey this season.
